CHOREOGRAPHER
Kimberly Chmielewski is a highly sought after choreographer and has had the privilege of setting work and presenting work nationally and internationally (Barcelona, Kiev, Ho Chi Minh, Paris, and London). Kimberly creates with both professional and pre-professional artists.
Chmielewski received the “Outstanding Choreographer” at the prestigious international Youth American Grand Prix Competition, “Outstanding Choreographer” at World Ballet Arts Competition, and her work has been presented in the finals at Youth American Grand Prix, Grand Prix Kiev International Ballet Competition, World Ballet Competition, The American Dance Competition | International Ballet Competition, World Ballet Arts Competition, and more.
Personal choreographic ventures for Chmielewski include artistic director and co-collaborator of jk-co and formerly co-director of BaiKo. As the co-director of jk-co, Kimberly has staged Blue Oak Lane, Daisy's Day Speakeasy, Into the Round, and co-hosted Stanley Summer Series. Kimberly has premiered works at festivals and venues such as Stanley Marketplace Teaser (2020), Denver Digiteria (2020), Perspective Exchange (2019), Choreographer’s Collective (2014-2018), and has been the resident choreographer for Rocky Mountain Ballet since 2017.
